Among 21 categories with over 140 products judged in the Plant-Based Taste Awards at London’s Plant Based World Expo this week, Clive’s Purely Plants was awarded not once but twice for its popular vegan pies. The brand’s Organic Red Pepper Harissa Quiche won the Best Plant-Based Deli Product, while its Organic Coronation Chickpea Puff Pie with creamy coconut and apricot won the Best Plant-Based Pie category. Swiss alt meat brand Eatplanted has partnered with Max La Manna, an award-winning chef and digital creator, to raise money for UK anti-hunger charity Feeding Britain. La Manna, who specialises in low-waste cooking, used Eatplanted products to prepare a three-course plant-based Christmas dinner. Singapore’s ImpacFat to Unveil “World’s First” Cultivated Fish Fat at Demo Day

After undergoing Big Idea Ventures’ five-month accelerator program in Singapore, enrolled startups are set to present their innovations to investors and corporations in the alt protein space. Singapore’s ImpacFat, which claims to be the first food tech company to develop cultivated fish fat, will showcase its innovative product for the first time ever at the demo day on December 1st. AGRANA is set to appear at Food Ingredients Europe, a leading trade fair for the food processing sector, to showcase a range of novel solutions for use in plant-based foods. The global food group has developed products such as nut and coconut-based vegan yogurts and desserts, inspired by the growing trend towards eating nuts as a healthy snack.
