Aramark Germany Offers Plant-Forward Meals at 500 Corporate Restaurants

After a decade of offering planet-friendly meals under its Earth Week label, Aramark Germany has introduced a new range of plant-forward dishes inspired by the EAT-Lancet Commission’s Planetary Health Diet. Example dishes are Vegetable Noodles with Caramelized Carrot, Pumpkin, and Parsley Foam; Baked Kohlrabi with Buckwheat, Spinach, and Smoked Tofu; and Lentil Risotto with Root Vegetables, Gremolata and Walnut Crunch. The recipes are served at all 500 German corporate restaurants managed by Aramark. Healthy fast casual chain Coolgreens announces it is testing a groundbreaking plant-based cheese created by Boston-based Motif FoodWorks. The dairy-free cheese will be available exclusively at Coolgreens’ Delray Beach, FL location beginning Nov. 15th. Motif’s cheese will be offered on Coolgreen’s signature Avocado Crunch sandwich and Southwest salad, as well as the non-vegan Chicken Fresca sandwich. British chain Costa Coffee has launched its 2022 Christmas menu, featuring vegan options such as the P’gs & Blankets Panini. Burger King is marking World Vegan Day by launching a new plant-based option — Dirty Vegan Nuggets — in the UK. Made in collaboration with The Vegetarian Butcher, the soy-based nuggets are a limited-edition version of the popular vegan nuggets launched by the chain at the beginning of the year. Made by British company Native Snacks, the crackers will be served with YO!’s Korean Sweet Chilli Sauce and will also be available as a conveyor belt offering. This is the first time Native has ever partnered with a restaurant. According to Native, farmed prawns can have a larger environmental impact than beef as they are often produced on land reclaimed from mangroves. Over 170 Irish Restaurants to Offer Plant-Based Options for World Vegan Day

Full Irish Vegan is a campaign group promoting World Vegan Day by asking restaurants, pubs, and cafes around Ireland to offer plant-based options. The group’s 2022 campaign launched two weeks ago, endorsed by Oscar winner and animal rights activist Joaquin Phoenix. SuperMeat Survey Reveals Nearly 90% of US Chefs Would Serve Cultivated Meat

A new survey conducted by food tech company SuperMeat discovered that 86% of American chefs are interested in serving cultivated meats, poultry or seafood to customers.  Conducted with market research consultancy Censuswide, the survey polled opinions from 251 US chefs and food professionals. As reported by FoodNavigator, plant-based QSR chain Neat Burger is set to expand into new markets following its successful launch in the US. Co-founded by Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton, Neat Burger currently has eight locations in London and one in New York. The UK-headquartered chain will open its first Dubai location in November, and has also revealed plans to expand into Italy in the near future. Neat Burger says it will also eventually launch its products for retail, after first building up a customer base via its restaurants.
