An artisan vegan deli called Herbivore is set to open at Wapping Wharf in the UK city of Bristol. The store will be managed by Janice Heskett, who previously operated Café Matiriki in Finzel’s Reach, along with daughter Danielle. Herbivore will focus on sustainable, artisan foods made by small producers, with offerings likely to include vegan cheeses, cakes, and tarts. Beyond Meat Finally Arrives in Japanese Market Through USMH Partnership

Beyond Meat announces it is finally entering Japan through a new partnership with United Super Market Holdings (USMH), one of the country’s largest grocery stores, after seeking to expand into the Japanese market for the past two years. Vienna: New 100% Vegan Superstore BILLA PFLANZILLA to Offer 2,500+ Products

BILLA, one of Austria‘s largest employers, operating around 1,200 stores, is to open a 200-metre square vegan concept store on 8th September, which the chain says will be the first of its kind in Austria. The concept comes as BILLA-commissioned research reveals that 46% of Austrians have reduced their consumption of animal products and that 28% of the 18 to 29 year-old group fully abstain from meat. Chicago brand Sacred Serve is expanding its line of vegan superfood gelato to Whole Foods stores across the US, reports Food Navigator-USA.  Founded by Kailey Donewald, Sacred Serve packages its clean-label gelato in the world’s first plastic-free, 100% biodegradable ice cream cartons. To craft the ice cream, Sacred Serve uses a base of upcycled Thai green coconuts, which it says provides a lighter coconut flavor and thick texture that eliminates the need for gums or stabilizers.
