Aldi US Wins PETA Award in Recognition of its Huge Vegan Range

ALDI US has won an award from the animal rights group PETA. The chain received the Top Grocer Award in recognition of its extensive range of vegan products.

ALDI has been expanding its vegan range in the US for some time and its range now includes everything from vegan hotdogs and meatballs to eggplant ravioli and dairy-free ice cream. The company will receive a framed certificate from PETA.

Just last month, ALDI also received a PETA award for its vegan options in Germany. ALDI Nord and SÜD are constantly expanding their vegan ranges, and they collaborated with Veganuary earlier this year to help shoppers eat vegan. ALDI’S vegan products in Germany include nuggets, schnitzel, “fish” fingers, dark chocolate oat cookies, and dairy-free Magnums. Across multiple countries, ALDI is proving that eating vegan doesn’t have to be difficult or expensive.

“ALDI recognizes that consumers today care about animal welfare, their own health, and the impact that a meat- and dairy-heavy diet has on the environment — and it deserves to be recognized for offering shoppers a host of tasty vegan foods,” says PETA President Ingrid Newkirk.
