Founded in 1997, Field Roast Grain Meat Co. produces artisanal meat and cheeses from entirely plant-based ingredients and using traditional practices. Their hugely popular range includes roasts, sausages, Chao cheese, burgers, and deli slices. These products are stocked in thousands of retain stores and are served in over 500 restaurants across North America. Field Roast sees their work as a continuation of traditional food-making alongside community bakers, butchers, grain millers and cheese makers. “We celebrate and honor the great foodmaking traditions of Europe and Asia and bring them together in Seattle to create something special. We believe real is better than fake, which is why we use the simple tenets of good cooking and traditional meat and cheese making practices.”

In 2015, Field Roast was named VegNews Magazine‘s Company of the Year.
