Award winning health and wellbeing drink phenomenon, Captain Kombucha, has launched two new flavours as part of its naturally fermented drinks range. Handcrafted in western Portugal, the new arrivals include Cayenne Pepper and Pineapple Peach flavours, available in Holland & Barrett, Morrisons, Wholefoods and Grape Tree from May 2019.
A favourite of celebrities including Madonna, Justin Bieber and Gwyneth Paltrow, kombucha is the fastest growing market in the beverage category. Globally, the market for kombucha is predicted to reach $1,766.4million by 2020, recording a predicted 24.2% CAGR from 2015 to 2020. In the UK, the market is predicted to reach $126.2 million by 2020.
The new launches join the existing Captain Kombucha flavours, including Original, California Raspberry, Ginger & Lemon, and Coconut – all available in 400ml bottles. The 400ml Original and California Raspberry flavours are also launching in Tesco from 13th May.
Winner of best new organic product at last year’s Natural and Organic product show, Captain Kombucha posted sales of €3.1million in 2018.
