Plant-based meat producers The Meatless Farm Co, based in the UK, revealed in April its plans to expand internationally, and by June had announced its launch into the American market. Its products, including vegan mince (ground beef) and sausages, have been successfully launched into several large supermarkets, and now continuing its success, the brand announces a partnership with Brakes for wholesale distribution.
The American rollout this summer into Wholefoods Markets also followed the brand’s launches throughout international markets including, Sweden, Canada and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Brakes is the leading food wholesalers in the UK. Its head of food Sarah Wilkinson said that the Meatless Farm products are great addition to the Brakes portfolio. “They are innovative, deliver on taste and texture and can be used for a broad range of menu items. And, of course, they fit perfectly with the ongoing trend towards plant-based diets.”
