Treasure8 announces today that it is partnering with upcycled pet snack brand Shameless Pets, to help it further its mission to reduce the environmental impact of pet food by creating the most nutritious, upcycled pet treats available on the market.
Treasure8, a company that works to fight against food waste and climate change, was founded by co-CEO Timothy Childs, who previously launched the popular chocolate brand, TCHO Chocolate. The company gained traction for its superior SAUNA™ dehydration platform, capable of upcycling numerous materials, which also possesses a unique power in creating a LOG5+ mycobacterial kill step to help with food safety.
The company is providing upcycled, dehydrated juice pressings for Chicago-based Shameless Pets, and recently also supported them in their recent move to launch into Target, the third-largest discount retailer in the world. Treasure8 says that every ounce of viable food that is saved from being wasted is important, with $2.5T lbs of food thrown away every year globally.
