Erpingham House is the hugely successful plant-based restaurant owned and operated by vegan entrepreneur Loui Blake. Now just 18 months after opening the first location in Norwich, the largest vegan restaurant in the UK, Blake announces a crowdfunding campaign for a second location which will be based in Brighton.

Erpingham House gained national media attention and critical acclaim in its first year, was recognised by The Times as one of the UK’s top 20 vegetarian restaurants, and was nominated for two years by VegFest for Vegan Restaurant of the Year. The initial concept was to convert a Grade II listed building into a multi-dimensional space that could be enjoyed by people throughout the day and help promote healthy eating and sustainable living. The restaurant is owned by a group of local family & friends, including former Norwich city footballers Russell Martin & Declan Rudd.

Spread over three floors including a cafe, restaurant, bar and even a delivery service, Erpingham House is 100% plant-based and completely free from single-use plastic. Serving over 12,000 customers in its first year, the restaurant is now seeking to replicate its early success by launching a second venue in the UK’s vegan capital – Brighton – with plans to open in December 2019.

Blake commented: “I am extremely pleased to see how quickly the market is growing, and equally grateful to be positioned as many people’s introduction to vegan food. We recognise our customers are typically flexitarian, and see eating with us as a way to enjoy a more sustainable and healthy meal, without sacrificing taste or experience. Furthering this mission by taking Erpingham House to Brighton, we’re incredibly excited to extend the opportunity to our wider network to own a part of the business, with future plans for a national roll out.”

Interested parties can join the crowdfunding campaign via Crowcube, where Erpingham House is offering 15% equity in the brand (both restaurants) for £250,000, with the minimum investment of £10.00. Visit https://www.crowdcube.com/companies/erpingham-house/pitches/qYWjmZ
