California Supermarket Chain Launches Plant-based Education Scheme

Lucky Supermarkets, who have 70 stores across Northern California, has launched a campaign to educate consumers about plant-based foods.

Working in collaboration with the Plant Based Foods Association (PBFA), the goal of the campaign is to increase shoppers’ awareness of the variety of plant-based alternatives available in their stores, with the slogan “Fall in Love with Plant Based.”

Lucky supermarkets will display advertising stands and showcase vegan options in each location, as well as provide educational material and coupons.

Michele Simon, executive director of PBFA, described the initiative as a first-of-its-kind, and says, “We are thrilled to partner with Lucky Supermarkets to promote a wide array of delicious plant-based foods to Lucky and Lucky California shoppers […] We were pleasantly surprised to see so many PBFA member brands already offered at Lucky stores, and now we want everyone to discover them, from plant-based milks to yogurt, to cheeses, to many varieties of meat.”
