Comprital Showcases Vegan Advancements in Gelato and Pastry at SIGEP 2025

Comprital, a prominent supplier of ingredients for gelato and pastry, is set to commemorate its 40th anniversary at SIGEP 2025, held in Rimini, Italy, from January 18 to 22. In addition to celebrating this milestone, the company will also honor the 70th anniversary of La Preferita, an artisanal gelato brand it acquired in 2016.

“Among our new offerings, we’re proud to present solutions tailored to trending market segments”

The company will present several new solutions at the event, reflecting its dedication to addressing trends such as convenience, seasonality, and dietary inclusivity. One of the new launches is the Fruit Base Dolce Asporto, a gelato base specifically designed for fruit flavors.

Building on the success of the previous Dolce Asporto line introduced in 2024, this variant is formulated for take-away gelato. It can be used at room temperature and is designed to resist melting while allowing customization with fresh fruits, purees, or pastes.

Managing Director Adriano Bert explained the significance of SIGEP in the company’s history and future direction. “Each year, SIGEP provides us with an invaluable platform to showcase our latest products and connect with clients and partners from across the globe. This year is particularly special as we celebrate both the 40th anniversary of Comprital and the 70th anniversary of La Preferita,” Bert stated.

Streamlining pastry production

The company will also introduce its “Pasticceria Veloce” initiative, a project aimed at simplifying pastry production without sacrificing quality. This offering includes ingredient bases tailored for efficiency, helping professionals manage time constraints in commercial kitchens. Alongside these bases, Comprital has developed a collection of recipes in collaboration with pastry chef Riccardo Magni, providing practical solutions for professionals seeking to streamline their processes.

Additionally, to celebrate the 70th anniversary of La Preferita, Comprital will debut the Nocciola Anniversario, a dark hazelnut paste made using traditional methods. Sourced from Piedmont hazelnuts, the product is crafted through a meticulous process of sun-drying and light roasting, which preserves its natural flavors and properties. The result is a product that honors Italian gelato traditions while meeting contemporary quality standards.
