Five-star hotel Hilton London Bankside is the latest in hospitality chains to offer luxury vegan holidays, and is now offering an entirely vegan suite, with everything from the flooring and the furniture to the toiletries and the stationary completely plant-based.
The suite, priced at £549 for a night, is furnished with cotton carpets and fabrics and the pillows are made from organic buckwheat. The check-in desk and room furniture are upholstered in Pinatex, a sustainable alternative to leather created from pineapple leaf fibres, while the flooring is made with bamboo. The minibar is filled with vegan protein powder, energy bars and fruit, and there are also vegan-friendly room service options available.
Hilton is the latest to join the several companies catering especially for vegan consumers: The Vegan Lodge is a new, completely vegan hotel in Turkey with 34 rooms, gym, yoga studio, and two swimming pools. The Vegan Hotels website lists numerous exclusively vegan and vegan-friendly hotels from across the world, including five-star vegan wellness retreat Fiveelements in Indonasia, Six Senses Laamu in the Maldives, Die Wasnerin – G’sund & Natur Hotel in Austria, Agriturismo Coronica in Italy, and many more.
