It will take place in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, at the Hilton Boston from August 27th to 29th, 2024.

This year’s program will focus on creating a viable roadmap to achieve technical and commercial viability through data-driven technical, scientific, and strategic case studies, discussions, partnerships, and networking.

The Good Food Institute shared, “Now is the time for senior stakeholders to unite to share technical insights and case studies to reflect on recent successes and collectivize as your industry enters a critical consolidation phase.”

Three days of networking and discussions

The summit will host two days of conferences, including a brand-new investment focus breakfast on day 1, where attendees will have the opportunity to pitch ideas, discuss markets, and collaborate with investors such as Big Idea Ventures, Green Circle Capital Food Tech Ventures, Newtree Impact, McWin Capital Partners, and EcoTech Capital.

Meanwhile, day one and two conferences feature a distinguished lineup of speakers, each bringing unique insights from their respective fields encompassing multiple topics.

Some examples include technological advancements (Clever Carnivore and Avant Meats), reflecting on the past 10+ years, and cost reduction and scaling effectively (Umami Bioworks and Jellatech).

“It’s now make-or-break to crack the code to taste, texture, and price parity”

Other important discussions will center around regulatory frameworks and food safety (FDA, Vital Meat, and Tissen Biofarm), market dynamics and consumer acceptance, and supply chains and facilities (CellX and Newform Foods),

The last day will be a post-conference think tank day, “Build Out the Future Through Competitive Collaboration,” with keynotes from Anna Handschuch, Managing Director at Future Affairs, and Laine Clark, Senior Corporate Engagement Manager, Innovation at GFI.

Hannah Poole, Senior Program Director of the summit, shared: “It’s now make-or-break to crack the code to taste, texture, and price parity, as investors’ timelines loom alongside the need to demonstrate scalability and a clear path to profitability. The importance of strategic partnerships and innovation to achieve this cannot be understated.”
