Dozens of Plant-Based Stars Share Their Favourite Vegan Dishes for Veganuary

Veganuary, a global organisation encouraging people to try vegan in January and beyond, has today released the 2020 edition of its celebrity vegan cookbook featuring 27 recipes from some of Britain’s best-known stars,

The celebrities featured in the book with their top dishes include:

  • World-class footballer Chris Smalling and his wife Sam’s recipe for Peanut Stew with Sweet Potato and Chickpeas, a modern take on a traditional African stew
  • Joanna Lumley, renowned animal advocate and national treasure’s Random Green Soup recipe written in her very own unique style
  • Comedian and long-time veggie John Bishop’s simple yet delicious Chickpea Burger recipe
  • Jasmine Harman’s Shepherd’s Pie with a Mediterranean Twist – what could be more appropriate from the presenter of A Place in the Sun?

Other celebrity contributors include plant-powered athletes Declan Rudd, Anthony Mullally and Jason Gillespie; animal-loving actors Peter Egan, Jason Moore and Harry Kirton; as well as music-makers Melody Kane, Bif Naked and Benjamin Zephaniah. The star-studded cookbook is available exclusively to Veganuary participants.

Everyone who signs up to the 31-day plant-based pledge at veganuary.com automatically receives the celebrity cookbook. Taking the pledge is absolutely free and also provides the vegan-curious with 31 daily emails containing shopping, cooking and eating out advice; nutritional information; supportive messaging and tips for dealing with social situations.
