“Go vegan!” – That’s the motto of VeggieWorld, the trade fair for the vegan lifestyle, which takes place in Munich on September 15 and 16, 2018. Although VeggieWorld has only been around since 2011, it is the oldest trade fair in Europe focusing on the vegan lifestyle. The fair started out in Wiesbaden with just 21 exhibitors. Since it was taken over by Wellfairs in 2014, VeggieWorld has been expanding steadily and has also been held in other European countries.
Due to a high level of interest, the vegan fair is now coming to Munich for the third time. Visitors to VeggieWorld can look forward to a varied program. A large selection of vegan products ranging from food, fashion and cosmetics to vegan services and projects will be presented by over 100 exhibitors. Visitors can try out products at many stands, taste plant-based delicacies, buy at fair prices, and obtain both comprehensive information and personal advice. In addition to the exhibitors, visitors can expect an informative supporting programme. This will include lectures, cooking shows and various workshops on all aspects of veganism.
The fair is not just about attracting vegans and vegetarians. So-called flexitarians, and especially passionate meat-eaters, are also welcomed to VeggieWorld with open arms. “Meat eaters may not even know what incredible possibilities vegan cuisine offers. That is our approach exactly; not to persuade, but to convince,” says Hendrik Schellkes, managing director of Wellfairs.
