Internorga is Postponed as Exhibitors Continue to Fear Virus Spread

Following yesterday’s postponing of the Expo West in California due to the coronavirus, the same fate now befalls the Internorga in Germany. The event was due to take place in Hamburg from 13th March.

The website states the following:

Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH (HMC) is postponing INTERNORGA 2020 due to concerns about the increasing spread of the corona virus COVID-19, thus following the recommendations of the German government’s crisis management team to apply the guidelines of the Robert Koch Institute in the risk assessment of major events. Furthermore, numerous exhibitors have already withdrawn their participation. All conferences and supporting events in connection with INTERNORGA are also affected by the postponement.

“The safety and health of our exhibitors, visitors and employees are our top priority. We will probably make up for INTERNORGA 2020 in the summer,” says Bernd Aufderheide, Chief Executive Officer of Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH.

A decision on the new date of the fair will be taken promptly to ensure the greatest possible planning security for exhibitors and visitors
