Last year, three key players in the vegan scene were present at France’s International Agricultural Show Salon de l’Agriculture. This year, the show takes place from February 25 to March 5 and three vegan startups are again present to show consumers that it is possible to consume food differently, in a sustainable and cruelty-free manner.

The three startups present this year are Heura from Barcelona; Les Nouveaux Affineurs from Paris; and Onami Foods of Brittany.
Huge success for plant-based alternatives
Impressively, Heura states that it “sold more products at the biggest meat event in France than at any other event (even vegan) in the past! In fact, we were out of stock at 3pm when we had planned a much larger stock than last year. Most French people want to reduce their meat consumption and yesterday at the Paris International Agricultural Show was a new proof of that! Whatever their age or origin, whatever their profession, farmers, butchers, they are all bluffed when they try Heura Foods!” shared the Spanish startup on its social channels.
Les Nouveaux Affineurs are once again attending to demonstrate that cheese and vegan can go hand in hand with deliciousness. The French startup produces ripened cheeses sold in stores, restaurants and even to overseas retailers such as at the Swiss retail leader Migros where the products became listed last November.
Young startup Onami Foods is present to show that alternatives to fish exist and that their consumption can save the oceans by avoiding by-catch, plastic pollution, and protecting marine animals.
