From November 27th to 29th, 2018 ProVeg (formerly Vegetarierbund Deutschland) will participate in the programme of the Health Ingredients (Hi) Europe trade fair in Frankfurt am Main under the title ‘Plant-Based Experience’. For the first time, ProVeg is an official partner of the fair.
ProVeg and Hi Europe, Europe’s leading trade fair for health ingredients, are celebrating their joint premiere this year. Under the name ‘Plant-Based Experience’, ProVeg is designing part of the supporting programme at the international trade fair, which will take place from November 27 to 29, 2018 in Frankfurt am Main. “The programme items of the Plant-Based Experience will be an absolute highlight of the trade fair visit. We are delighted with our collaboration with Health Ingredients Europe, and look forward to the days of the fair and the visitor feedback,” says Katleen Haefele, Head of ProVeg Food Services. Hi Europe provides visitors with a comprehensive overview of market innovations and the latest concepts in the functional food sector. The organisers expect more than 10,000 visitors from 94 countries, and more than 465 international exhibitors. ProVeg will be an official partner of Hi Europe for the first time.
Cooking shows and panel discussions
ProVeg has designed an event area of around 90 square metres. Top-class cooking shows and panel discussions await visitors, along with tastings and guided tours. Start-ups will present their vegan product innovations. Vegan star chefs such as Sophia Hoffmann and Sebastian Copien will pass on their knowledge of plant-based cuisine at Live Cooking. Nutrition expert Niko Rittenau will present the programme. Trade visitors will also gain many other exciting insights at panels on the highly topical themes of ‘Clean Meat’ and healthy plant-based sports nutrition, with top athletes such as Ben Urbanke and Melanie Fraunschiel. In talks and lectures, ProVeg experts will give insights into the potential of plant-based products and the development of the veggie market.
Start-up promotion
“Above all, Hi Europe is a great opportunity to network and exchange ideas with experts in market research, industry and commerce,” says Haefele. As part of the ‘Startup Innovation Challenge’, which offers young company founders a platform to present their business concepts to experts from the food industry, ProVeg gives young veggie founders tips on how to become self-employed. Amongst other things, ProVeg will present its program ProVeg Corporate Outreach, as well as the ProVeg start-up incubator for innovative veggie products and services.
