Plant-based innovation will take centre stage at Food ingredients Europe in Paris, 2-5 December 2019, with ProVeg International once again hosting a Plant-based Experience, a 180 sqm area of the event dedicated to everything plant-based.
The Plant-based Experience will showcase the latest plant-based trends and developments through live cooking shows, a panel discussion, guided tours, and pitches for the annual Plant-Based Innovation Award.
Fi Europe is the leading trade show for food and beverage ingredients and the largest industry platform for information and education. More than 27,000 visitors and over 1,700 exhibitors from more than 135 nations are expected in Paris, including world-leading companies such as Kerry, Naturex, DSM, Barry Callebaut, and FrieslandCampina.
At the Plant-based Experience, an expert panel of food ingredients specialists will discuss the various solutions and obstacles to developing new plant-based products to compete with animal products in terms of taste, texture, and price. Led by industry experts from ProVeg, attendees can also join the Plant-based Innovations Tour to taste and learn about new high-quality plant-based ingredients and foods.
A programme of talks from food and beverage experts will provide industry insight. Highlights include Minna Hakaoja, ProVeg’s Senior Food Industry Consultant, discussing the best ingredients for successful plant-based products, and Verena Wiederkehr (pictured), ProVeg’s International Head of Food Industry and Retail, focusing on the opportunities and challenges within the plant-based market.
Wiederkehr said: “We are delighted to once again host the Plant-based Experience at this year’s FI Europe to highlight the significance and growing potential of the plant-based market. We are looking forward to welcoming all players in the market, exchanging ideas, and discussing all aspects of the plant-based sector.”
