The New Food Conference Announces New Dates and Webinar Series

The New Food Conference announces new dates: on 28 and 29 April 2021, ProVeg will once again bring together leading stakeholders from the food industry to discuss the latest developments in the alternative-protein sector.

The New Food Conference is a unique, industry-oriented event that aims to accelerate and empower innovative food technologies by bringing together representatives from industry, academia, politics, and the media. It is Europe’s first and biggest conference on new-protein solutions. The event will take place in Berlin, Bolle Event Venue, and tickets are available on the NFC website.

In the meantime, interested individuals are invited to register for the free NFC webinar series in order to stay on top of the latest developments in the alternative-protein realm. These webinars provide a platform for thought leaders to share ideas and insights on how we can transform our food system. The webinar series will start on 5 August and will host an engaging live webinar each week, with the first four webinars already scheduled.

To kick things off, Abhishek Sinha from GoodDot will share some insights on the development of the plant-based market in India. In the second seminar, Albrecht Wolfmeyer (ProVeg Incubator), Fabio Ziemßen (NxFoods), and José Luis Cabañero (Eatable Adventures) will provide updates with the latest news from the startup scene and look at how young entrepreneurs are doing in times of COVID-19.

The third webinar will provide insights into the latest developments in the clean-meat space, with leading experts such as Hélène Miller (Aleph Farms), Prof Mark Post (Mosa Meat), and David Brandes (Peace of Meat).

The fourth webinar will feature discussions on the 2nd evolution of plant-based products with leading ingredient suppliers. Sandra Vennemann-Toppka (Avebe), Dr Alexander Smerz (Döhler), and Leonardo Rubio Anselmi (DuPont) will be exploring how functional ingredients are a key element in creating plant-based products that live up to the latest consumer requirements, including clean-label ingredients, local sourcing, and the demand for healthier foods.
