Vegandale, the North American festival described as the world’s largest touring vegan experience, is expanding to the UK in 2024.
The festival has announced a London event at Clapham Common from July 13-14, and a Manchester event on July 6 (location to be announced). Additionally, there will be an event in Philadelphia this year, adding to the six existing North American locations — New York, Toronto, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, and Dallas.
Vegandale features a range of musical performances, with last year’s headlining acts including Rick Ross, Coi Leray, and DJ Khaled. London artists are expected to be announced next month.
A diverse range of food, beverage, and lifestyle options will also be available, with the London and Manchester events featuring both local food and vendors from North America. Additionally, there will be interactive art installations focused on vegan ethics.
“Vegandale’s mission goes beyond entertainment, aiming to demonstrate the moral imperative of a world free from animal exploitation,” said Vegandale. “Often compared to Coachella, this unique experience draws over 100,000 attendees annually, both vegans and non-vegans alike. It serves as a cultural phenomenon, attracting global vendors and sponsors eager to showcase the latest in vegan product innovation.”
Vegan festivals
Vegan festivals are growing in popularity worldwide, with events such as:
- VegFest BCN — Barcelona’s first vegan festival, featuring conferences, concerts, and activities.
- Veganário Fest — One of Portugal’s largest vegan festivals, aiming to introduce the public to vegan products while providing information through a conference format.
- The Himalayan Vegan Festival — Nepal’s first and largest vegan festival, focused on raising awareness of the vegan lifestyle.
“We want to demonstrate that a cruelty-free lifestyle is more than compatible with fun and leisure,” Cristina Ibáñez, event coordinator of VegFest BCN, told La Vanguardia last year.
