The European Vegan Summit 2025 is set to take place online from September 9 to 11, organised by the Polish think-tank Green REV Institute.
The event is dedicated to the transformation of the food system, along with associated causes such as social justice, climate change, public health, and animal rights. It will feature three days of debates, lectures, and meetings from leaders of change worldwide.
The summit opens with keynote speeches from three individuals:
- Dr Krista Hiddema, a leader in strategic philanthropy and an animal rights advocate, will discuss the power of community and activism.
- Sebastiano Cossia Castiglioni, an international investor and activist supporting over 90 plant-based initiatives, will call for a departure from the status quo in the food system with a talk titled “Business as usual is not an option”.
- Claudia Giampietri, Director of Healthy Food Healthy Planet, will present a new model for selling food, showing that systemic change rather than individual choices is key to providing healthy and accessible meals for all.

Setting new directions for the food industry
Following the opening speeches, panellists will engage in discussions on food transparency, fair trade, nutrition education, prices, and the impact of marketing on consumer choices. Through these talks, the event aims to set new directions for politics, science, activism, and business.
This will be the fourth time the European Vegan Summit has taken place. Last year’s event explored the dynamics of vegan businesses in Europe and globally, underscoring the role of the private sector as a driver of change in the food industry.
Participation in the 2025 summit is free and open to anyone who is interested. Those who wish to take part can register here.
