New Food Conference Postponed, ProVeg Intends to Hold the Conference in August

Due to growing concerns around the coronavirus (COVID-19), the New Food Conference has been postponed and will now take place on 5 and 6 August 2020 in Berlin. The event was originally scheduled for late April. The venue and format of the show will remain the same.

ProVeg, the organiser of the New Food Conference, explained that the wellbeing of speakers, sponsors, delegates, and staff was the primary concern. Additionally, travel bans might have negatively impacted on the attendance of both speakers and delegates. Faced with the possibility of a less-than-optimum event, and further monitoring the spread of the virus, ProVeg concluded that a postponement would be the best course of action for all parties concerned. This decision had been supported by the organisation’s partners and supporters.

Katleen Haefele, International Head of Food Service & Events at ProVeg, said, “It wasn’t an easy decision for us to make, but we are now looking all the more forward to an attractive and multifaceted event in August. We are convinced that the event will be a great success for all stakeholders, including partners, speakers, and delegates.”
