Making a difference for animals
Meanwhile, the Heroes section of the awards recognizes celebrities such as Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, and Chappell Roan for launching animal-friendly products or showing support for animal rights causes. Winners were chosen based on their enthusiasm for animal rights, the enthusiasm shown by their fans, and the number of votes received.
Additionally, the Lifestyle category recognizes voters’ favorite beauty products and shoes.
“From bringing attention to the suffering of animals at marine parks to taking time out of a tour to showcase adoptable dogs, these compassionate celebs are making a difference for animals every day,” says peta2 Vice President Rachelle Owen. “peta2 encourages everyone to follow their lead by living vegan, always adopting their companion animals, and never visiting marine parks that exploit animals for entertainment.”
