Chinese Plant-Based Innovator STARFIELD Showcases Diverse Product Range at IFE 2025 in London

Chinese plant-based brand STARFIELD is currently exhibiting at one of the UK’s largest and most influential food trade shows, International Food & Drink Event (IFE) 2025 in London.

STARFIELD is showcasing a diverse lineup of plant-based snacks at the event, including a new potato chip range, bakery products, and plant-based cheese. Additionally, the company is highlighting its meat alternatives, which include Whole-Cut Vegan Pastrami, Plant-Based Bacon, Plant-Based Ham Slices, and Plant-Based Sliced Pastrami.

STARFIELD’s extensive portfolio spans beef, chicken, pork, and seafood alternatives, along with plant-based snacks and toppings. In China, the brand has launched plant-based menu items at Dicos and Luckin Coffee, along with retail products at Sam’s Club and FamilyMart.

Last year, STARFIELD’s Poki Salad Bar was a finalist in the 2024 World Plant-Based Innovation Awards, and the product has also been commended in the World Food Innovation Awards.

A global market for Chinese plant-based products?

STARFIELD has a production base in Xiaogan, which was established in 2021 and manufactures products across eight categories. Following the construction of the facility, the company closed a $100 million funding round in 2022, which it said would be used to strengthen team building, recruit talent, and improve channels and brand building.

STARFIELD hopes that its success at IFE 2025 may indicate a global market for Chinese-made alternative protein products.

“We’re thrilled to be part of IFE 2025, connect with industry peers, and showcase our latest innovations,” said Kiki Wu, STARFIELD’s founder and CEO. “Since day one, STARFIELD has been committed to creating tasty and healthy plant-based options that appeal to both buyers and consumers.”

IFE 2025 began on March 17 and ends today (March 19). It features over 1,500 exhibitors and welcomes more than 30,000 industry professionals.
