Dutch Company Nuud Advertises a ‘Revolution for the Planet and Your Armpits’

Vegan cosmetic firms have been gaining strength in recent years, with millennials seeking natural products that are harmless, sustainable and cruelty-free. In addition to the rise in cruelty-free and plant-based beauty and cosmetics, the conscious consumer also seeks personal hygiene products such as deodorant.

Nuud deodorant is committed to being all-natural and 100% vegan. Nuud claims that their deodorant works even when exercising and in the shower. Every aspect of the production of Nuud deodorants, including packaging and delivery, has been carefully considered to be sensitive to your armpits as well as the environment. The website highlights that there are only ten (natural) ingredients in their deodorants, these ingredients are individually explained detailing; what it is, what are its effects, and why it is in Nuud. Consequently, it doesn’t contain any of the potentially unpleasant ingredients that regular deodorants often contain, such as aluminium, artificial fragrances, salts, parabens, and alcohol.

Nuud also claims that, in terms of eco- consciousness and sustainability, their product is highly concentrated, and the packaging consists of a sugar cane tube in a biodegradable cardboard box. Furthermore, their distribution is reportedly CO2 neutral.
