Marks & Spencer has announced that it will be expanding its vegan-friendly options into the footwear category, in response to an increased interest in vegan-friendly products from customers. An extensive array of styles, available across Womenswear, Menswear and Kidswear, will be identifiable by an M&S vegan logo presently used within their food products.
Rachel Smith, Senior Footwear Technologist comments; “After increased customer interest in veganism and a rise in online searches for related products, we decided to investigate the possibility of expanding our vegan-friendly offering into footwear and accessories. Over the year we have analysed our products and gone the extra mile to ensure we offer a great selection that comply with all vegan requirements.”
Until now vegan options at M&S only existed within Food and Beauty. In response to increased customer interest in veganism, M & S clothing technologists have worked to broaden their existing synthetic offerings to ensure all elements are 100% vegan-friendly. Over 350 footwear styles will be available across Womenswear, Menswear and Kidswear for Spring.
