Sia Botanics Develops New Line of Plant Based Sanitizers and Immune Support Skincare

Sia Botanics, a developer of natural skincare products, has announced the enhanced production and distribution of its plant and mineral-based skincare line which is designed to support the immune system’s protective barrier against virus and germs. A portion of the product will be donated to health care workers.

Founder and president of Sia Botanics, Christina Mahar, is a pioneer of the use of Sonoran Desert botanicals. her research, the combination of traditional skincare ingredients alongside the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties of desert plants and essential oils was “readily apparent”.

“Before the advent of the coronavirus, we were already working on production of our new line of Sia Force Field lotions/creams. Sia will launch the full line later in the year but is currently focusing solely on the Protective Hand Gel that supports the immune systems natural barrier against viruses and germs and the immediate need to make alcohol hand sanitizer. Sia has partnered with local distilleries to produce a 62% Ethyl Alcohol hand sanitizer and will distribute this for as long as ingredients can be obtained and there is a need in the community.

“The Protective Gel is a blend of ingredients that help to moisturize, seal cracks and coat the hands with no oily or sticky feeling. It also incorporates essential oils and Silver Ion Citric Acid to support the skin’s barrier to germs and viruses. Starting with oregano oil – the strongest essential oil anti-viral known – (see the research) we have added to this the potent oil blend of Cinnamon, Lemon, Rosemary and Eucalyptus (interestingly, this blend was reportedly used by grave robbers during the bubonic plague and is what they thought protected them from getting sick). We have increased the effects of this blend by adding Silver Ion Citric Acid, Peppermint and Lavender for their reported activity against germs, microbes and bacteria.”

Sia Botanics will begin taking online orders initially from their existing customers across the US and then as production capabilities allow, will start fulfilling online order through their website. The products are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any disease.
