Singer-songwriter Taylor Swift has collaborated with fashion designer Stella McCartney on a new fashion line. Consisting of jackets, t-shirts, hoodies and a tote bag, the line is vegan with a sustainable focus.
The collaboration emerged after the popstar started spending more time in London, going out for drinks with the designer. Swift struck up such a friendship with McCartney that she even name-drops her on a track from Lover, her new album which reportedly provided the inspiration for the range.
The collection includes two limited edition pieces and was inspired by graffiti, vintage band tees and Swift’s lyrics. The materials are organic and recycled, which is in line with McCartney’s aesthetic for all her pieces.
McCartney, like her parents before her, is a committed animal rights activist, however her brand was recently acquired by luxury fashion house LVMH, a frequent user of fur, as well as a history of animal testing.
