German discounter giant ALDI is continuing to expand internationally, and is also increasingly focusing on offering vegan and vegetarian products abroad. After investing 5.3 billion US dollars into redesigning its product range and expanding its stores in the USA last year, the company is now increasing its range of plant-based products in the UK.
Since the beginning of the year, ALDI has been offering British consumers nationwide a new vegan range comprising over ten alternative products. The new plant-based product range includes ready meals, soups, seasonings, snacks and burger patties.
In collaboration with the worldwide Veganuary campaign, which is very popular in the UK, ALDI is also promoting its product expansion with a new advertising campaign aimed specifically at families, encouraging them to give up meat and dairy products for a month and consume plant-based alternatives instead. ALDI is also positioning itself as a supplier of healthy and plant-based foods on the German market.
