UK supermarket Asda continues to announce good news for their herbivorous customers. After the enormous popularity of their vegan meatballs, which actually outsold some meat products counterparts in Waitrose stores, Heck have introduced an exciting (and colourful) range of gourmet “farmers market” style sausages.
The new range was unveiled on 30th August, in Asda stores across the UK, and consists of four unique flavours: Beet Goes On are made from beetroot, carrot, sunflower seeds and horseradish. Super Greens are created with quinoa, kale, spinach and ginger. Bollywood Bites are a blend of cauliflower, pulses, seeds and herbs spiced up with chilli, ginger, cumin and turmeric, and Sweet Fusion contain thai pesto, sweet potato and sticky rice.
All four products are Vegan Society registered. Co-founder of Heck, Jamie Keeble, said, “There is a huge groundswell for plant-based sausages and burgers and I can really see a future where the majority of our production is vegan and vegetarian.”
