Asia Pacific Leading Market for Fermented Non-Dairy Beverages

According to a new study, sales of fermented non-dairy non-alcoholic beverages are expected to reach ~376,100 metric tons in 2019, with a Y-o-Y growth of ~5% over 2019 to 2029. The increase is said to be influenced by the increasing vegan population, rising lactose intolerance, and of health-conscious amongst whom awareness about probiotics is increasing.

The idea of fermented non-dairy non-alcoholic beverages is still considered to be niche, though the market is growing steadily. The report shows a market receptive to an alternative to alcohol that is healthy, which is brewed in the same way as alcoholic drinks, and imparts a similar taste too but with zero alcohol content.
