Beyond Meat Launches DTC Platform With 2 Day Home Delivery, is #1 Refrigerated Plant Meat Brand

Beyond Meat has issued a press release stating that, according to the most recent SPINS data, theirs was the #1 brand in refrigerated plant-based meat and owned the top four selling items in all of plant-based meat this July. Also, from today the company announces its products are now available in bulk DTC with two day delivery.

Beyond Meat has recently been pulled into a media marketing storm: together with Impossible Foods, the plant-based leaders have come under fire from Lightlife, a company owned by Maple Leaf Foods, criticising their use of hyper-processed ingredients, GMOs, unnecessary additives, fillers, and “fake blood”. See the responses from Beyond Meat and Impossible Foods here.

The DTC option opens up huge potential for distribution in 48 states (in the contiguous U.S). Products are already available in 26,000 retail outlets in the states including Target, Walmart, Kroger and Whole Foods, as well as at club stores like Costco, Sam’s Club and BJ’s Wholesale.

To promote the DTC launch today, shoppers will get $5 off all orders with the promotional code GOBEYOND!
