Beyond Meat®, the current market leader for plant-based meat alternatives, has announced comprehensive global expansion plans. Following its conquest of the American market, the plant-based protein specialist now intends to continue its resounding success worldwide and rapidly expand its global presence.
Beyond Meat®’s aim is the constant distribution and availability of its products across six continents. To this end, the company intends to expand its cooperation with leading sales and foodservice partners around the world. “In view of the rapid growth in demand in the USA and the continuing interest in international markets, we have taken steps to significantly increase our production capacity,” says Beyond Meat’s founder & CEO Ethan Brown. Its successful market launch in Hong Kong serves as an international concept template.
Beyond Meat® has teamed up with a select group of distributors to reach over 50 countries in the coming months, including Germany and the rest of Europe, Canada, Australia, Mexico, Chile, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Korea, Taiwan and South Africa.
In Germany and the rest of Europe, the first steps to open up new markets have already been taken. Beyond Meat® initially started a cooperation with the German ‘PHW Group’, which exclusively handles German distribution. The Dutch wholesaler ‘Zandbergen World’s Finest Meat’ was then found to be an international sales expert and is now responsible for the rest of Europe. An exception is the UK, where Beyond Meat® is developing its own market.
