Carl’s Jr. has expanded its partnership with Beyond Meat and launched the new Beyond BBQ Cheeseburger, which is currently available at participating locations. Based on the success of its Beyond Famous Star, the restaurant developed this new burger build to complement the Beyond Burger patty, while drawing on the flavors of its iconic Western Bacon Cheeseburger.
The new Beyond BBQ Cheeseburger will feature the plant-based patty topped with Carl’s Jr. original BBQ sauce, American cheese, and crispy onion rings on a sesame seed bun.
Franklin, Tennessee-based Carl’s Jr. was one of the first major US fast-food restaurants to introduce a plant-based option to its menu in December 2018. Since the launch, Carl’s Jr. has sold more than 4.5 million Beyond Famous Star burgers. It is the most successful burger launch for the brand in the past two years.
