Healthy Eating Chain LEON Signs Exclusive Deal With Sainsbury’s

Healthy fast food chain Leon announces the debut of its first line of groceries in collaboration with Sainsbury’s, and according to ITV the company has its sights on exporting the products internationally.

LEON is a chain of health forward fast foods which operates 65 restaurants, in the UK, Amsterdam, Utrecht, Rotterdam, Oslo, Gran Canaria, and Washington DC. It offers healthy breakfasts, lunch options such as wraps and salads, and a range of vegan options including the Love Burger which was voted Best Vegan Burger in this year’s PETA awards.  This May, the chain launched its biggest vegan menu which included cheesy vegan Jack Wings, vegan milkshakes, and vegan birthday cupcake, in order to celebrate LEON’s 15th birthday.

Now LEON announces an exclusive deal with Sainsbury’s to stock 16 products in over than 600 stores, to include some of its most popular sauces, as well as newly-developed condiments and sourdough breads.

LEON CEO and co-founder said to PA news agency there are plans for around twelve additional product lines over the the year, and that the company intends to secure deals with retailers in the US and beyond.
