Popular fermented yogurt brand Lavva tells us that this week marks a very exciting time for the much-loved brand: the launch of its first online store. “It’s our mission at Lavva to realize the full potential of plant-based food. And as of today, we are so proud to get Lavva straight to your doorstep!”
Having experienced supply chain disruptions since the beginning of the pandemic, Lavva decided, like several other brands, to to pivot on its strategy and timeline, shifting its focus to complete the first phase of its online store in a less than a month. Lavva says that three developments are taking place:
- Nationwide Shipping
- Variety Packs (Best Sellers, Berries, Classic – to name a few)
- Adding Molten Lavva, our latest innovation, including an exclusive flavor just for DTC
In Phase 1, shipping is available to over 30 US states.
The online store has launched with 6 flavors (Original, Vanilla, Raspberry, Strawberry, Mango, Blueberry), each sold in a pack of 12. Lavva is offering customers the option of a one-time order or a monthly subscription.
In an interview with vegconomist last year, founder Elizabeth Fisher informed us that, “Lavva is made with a wild mix of organic, fair-trade pili nuts, coconut, young plantains, cassava, lime, and Himalayan sea salt. We transform this into yogurt using a proprietary blend of vegan probiotics, which pack 50 billion live probiotics in every serving of Lavva, along with food-based prebiotics from the young plantains and cassava.”
She concluded, “Lavva is currently sold in over 4,000 stores across the United States, including Whole Foods Markets, Sprouts, Wegmans, The Fresh Market, and Albertsons Safeway. While we remain focused on the US market, we’re exploring opportunities to bring Lavva to excited fans overseas.” So watch this space, international readers.
