Califia Farms Launches Pistachio & Hazelnut Flavour Oat Barista Blends in the UK

Califia Farms has expanded its range of oat barista blends with the launch of two new flavours — Pistachio and Hazelnut — in the UK.

The products aim to meet the growing demand for flavoured coffee, and are designed to steam and foam effectively for customers making lattes at home. They provide a less sugary and more cost-effective alternative to flavoured syrups.

The pistachio flavour has been launched in response to social media trends for pistachio lattes and Dubai chocolate, while hazelnut is reportedly one of the most popular coffee flavours worldwide.

“Unprecedented demand”

Califia Farms has also been expanding its range in the US over the past year, launching plant-based milk for kids and coconut-based juice beverages with reduced sugar content. In July of 2024, Califia acquired New York-based company Uproot Inc., which specialises in plant-based milk and dispensing solutions for food service operations.

“These new flavoured Barista Blends represent a significant step forward in our mission to make premium plant-based coffee solutions accessible to everyone,” said Califia Farms UK and EU General Manager Damien Threadgold. “We’re seeing unprecedented demand for flavoured coffee experiences, particularly pistachio, which has become the breakout flavour of 2025.

“By eliminating the need for syrups, we’re not only simplifying operations for our hospitality partners but also delivering superior consistency and cost-effectiveness. This launch strengthens our position as the UK’s leading plant-based barista range and demonstrates our commitment to innovation that meets real market needs.”

Both new flavours are now available from Ocado, and will arrive at Sainsbury’s next month. Additionally, the pistachio variety can be found at Morrisons and Tesco.
