MALK Organics Secures Major Funding for Expansion, Unveils New Products

Plant-based milk company MALK Organics has announced the completion of an internal Series B extension spearheaded by the Benvolio Group and Rotor Capital; both investment firms focused on growth-oriented companies. This financial backing is poised to support the brand’s strategic initiatives, which include widening its retail footprint, amplifying marketing activities, and driving innovation in product development.

Jason Bronstad, CEO of MALK Organics, spoke on the funding: “We are thrilled to announce another funding round from our valued partners at Benvolio, Rotor, and more on the heels of our latest product launches and distribution expansion.”

In addition to this financial milestone, MALK Organics has also enhanced its product lineup with the introduction of three new offerings: a cashew-based milk and two shelf-stable milk alternatives—one almond and one oat-based. These products, characterized by their simple and organic ingredient list, are part of the brand’s focus on offering clean, plant-based alternatives driven by increased consumer demand.

The company’s Cashew MALK has only four ingredients: water, organic cashews, organic almonds, and salt. The Unsweetened Almond MALK and Original Oat MALK each have only three ingredients. The new products are scheduled for US release this month, exclusively at Whole Foods Markets nationwide.

Continued retail expansion

This expansion is not limited to product offerings. MALK Organics is broadening its retail distribution, establishing its presence in new outlets and expanding in existing ones. This includes Albertson’s, Stop N Shop, and various Kroger chains, with additional presence in Target stores in New York and Los Angeles starting in June.

Last year, MALK Organics expanded its retail presence when it secured a partnership with Publix, placing its products in over 1,300 stores across the US Southeast. The company also unveiled a clean-label, plant-based version of egg nog just before the holidays, which it announced at Natural Products Expo East in September 2023.

Bronstad concluded, “As a pioneer in clean plant-based alternatives, we will continue to innovate, expand, and work diligently to make cleaner products more accessible to the masses.”
