Milk- and Dairy Alternatives

Oatly Barista Launches at Circle K Stores in Estonia, Lithuania & Latvia

Swedish oat milk brand Oatly has partnered with convenience store chain Circle K to bring its Barista oat milk to Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia.

Oatly Barista will be available at all Circle K locations across the three countries, and will be the only plant-based milk alternative on offer for coffees purchased in-store.

“Our mission is to make our customers’ lives a little easier every day,” said Skirmantas Mačiukas, Vice President of Circle K Baltics. “At Circle K, we recognize the importance of making responsible choices for a sustainable future. By teaming up with Oatly, we can provide a delicious and sustainable plant-based option in our coffee offerings that meets the evolving preferences of our customers across the Baltics.”

“Constantly diversifying”

In November, Oatly revealed it had achieved 9.6% revenue growth in the previous fiscal quarter, with significant improvements in gross margin and volume growth. The company said it had made particularly strong progress in North America. However, Oatly announced the closure of its Singapore manufacturing facility a month later, a decision that was said to align with its asset-light strategy.

Last month, Oatly partnered with Nespresso to launch a limited-edition coffee blend tailored to oat drink consumers. The blend has been designed to complement the flavor and texture of Oatly.

“At Oatly, we want to make it easy for people to swap plant-based for dairy,” said Jens Sinteus, Oatly Regional Manager, International Markets. “To achieve this, it’s integral that we are constantly diversifying where oat milk is available and consumed.

“Our latest partnership with Circle K will help to drive this goal, making our product easily available for consumers across Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia. We’re excited to partner with Circle K and commend their commitment to providing their customers with great-tasting drink options that are better for the planet.”
