Springfield Creamery, the makers of Nancy’s Probiotic Foods, has recently introduced its first oat milk non-dairy yogurt in the US. Though Scandinavian company Hälso launched its organic, oat-based yogurt drink containing pro and prebiotics almost a year ago in US grocery chain Wegmans and Sweden-based Oatly launched its oat-based yogurt (both known as oatgurt) in spring 2019, Nancy’s Oatmilk Non-dairy Yogurt is the first to be distributed nationwide.
Made using gluten-free oats, this new line of vegan yogurts delivers the creaminess of dairy yogurt with billions of live non-dairy probiotics per serving. As we reported this Januray, the sales of vegan yogurts increased by more than 66 million dollars in 2018 because of key market players like Nancy’s Probiotic Foods.
Offering four flavors: Plain, Vanilla, Strawberry Hibiscus, and Blueberry, they are currently available in Sprouts Farmers Markets, Market of Choice, New Season’s Market, Safeway (Denver area), Haggens, Central Markets and numerous independent co-ops across the US. New stores are coming on board each week with Nancy’s Oatmilk Non-Dairy Yogurt.
“For years, we have offered a non-dairy yogurt alternative, as we believe that everyone needs probiotics daily in their diet. As interest in plant-based options continues to grow, and as a company with a long heritage of probiotic innovation, it made sense to update and offer a new line of non-dairy products. Today we are pleased to introduce the first Oatmilk Non-Dairy Yogurt nationwide,” said Sheryl Kesey Thompson, Co-owner/VP Marketing “It was important for us to offer a creamy, great tasting plant-based product while delivering both a protein boost and the beneficial live probiotics that Nancy’s is known for. We are excited about this new line and are pleased that folks are enjoying it.”
