CULT Food Science subsidiary, Further Foods Inc., yesterday announced the launch of new Noochies! Immune Sprinkles for cats and dogs, the first products from its line of Sprinkles toppers, in the US and Canada.
CULT raised CAD$800,000 to expand the Noochies! portfolio back in May, with CEO Mitchell Scott stating at the time, “CULT is uniquely positioned to play a key part in the transformation of our food system. The funds raised in this private placement will allow us to further scale our portfolio company, Noochies, and establish it as a fast-growing, sustainable pet food brand.”
This July, the company preannounced its plans to submit a feeding trial protocol for FDA approval of its cultivated chicken ingredient, and in August, Further Foods initiated the regulatory process to introduce cultivated chicken products for dogs to the US market, having completed and submitted a feeding trial protocol for dogs to the FDA. According to recent reports, the FDA has now deemed the trial “generally appropriate” and requested additional details which the company expects to submit within the coming weeks.
Super functional ingredients for cats and dogs
With options for both dogs and cats, the updated line consists of Immune Sprinkles, Joint Boost Sprinkles, and Wellness Sprinkles. The pet supplements are created with “super-functional ingredients missing from even the healthiest diets” and include Bmmune™, the brand’s proprietary high-protein nutritional yeast, and Bflora™, the company’s probiotic blend of beneficial bacteria that is said to support immunity, gut health, digestion and more.
Noochies! Wellness Sprinkles and Noochies! Joint Boost Sprinkles are poised to arrive on the market next month, bringing the Noochies! portfolio to eight products in total, with an online retail presence at Ebay, Wee! And Shein.
