Texas-Based All Y’alls Foods Debuts Dairy-Free Cheese Snack with 33g of Protein

All Y’alls Foods, a Texas-based plant-based food company, has introduced a new snacking product called “IT’S BIG CRUNCHY CHEEZY BITS Y’ALL”.

The company claims the new offering provides a dairy- and gluten-free alternative to traditional cheese-flavored snacks, targeting consumers who seek plant-based options without sacrificing flavor.

“We know consumers have been seeking cleaner dairy and gluten-free options beyond the established swimmers”

The new product is part of All Y’alls Foods’ “Tasty Toppers” lineup, which already includes the “It’s Big Crunchy Bacony Bits Y’All”. Both products are marketed as high-protein, gluten-free, and dairy-free snack options, with the Cheezy Bits providing 33 grams of protein per 2.69 oz bag. The company states that the product can be enjoyed directly from the bag or as a topping for various dishes such as salads, pasta, and potatoes.

The new Cheezy Bits are made from whole organic soybeans and flavored with garlic and nutritional yeast, which give them that “cheesy” flavor. However, the company acknowledges that the product is not intended to be “visually perfect” due to the absence of artificial coloring and preservatives. Brett Christoffel, founder and CEO of All Y’alls Foods, pointed out that while the bits may not have the “cute” appearance of traditional snacks, they are full of flavor and texture.

All Y’alls Foods, founded in 2018 by Christoffel, has built a reputation for offering plant-based protein products that cater to those looking for animal-free, sustainable alternatives. The company donates a portion of its proceeds to Rowdy Girl Sanctuary, a farm animal sanctuary in Texas.

The company introduced a rewards program in the summer, alongside the launch of its first-ever cookbook. At the time, it teased a new product launch, which has turned out to be the new Cheezy Bits. The new snack will initially be available for purchase through All Y’alls Foods’ website, with plans to expand into select retail locations, including Amazon, by the end of the year.

Sustainable snacks

Speaking to vegconomist, Christoffel has previously discussed the potential for plant-based industries to play a key role in water conservation efforts, particularly in drought-prone areas like Texas. “Plant-based protein production uses 10% of the land, fuel, and water required for its animal equivalent. And every Texan knows we must conserve our precious water more than ever,” Christoffel noted.

He continues, “We know consumers have been seeking cleaner dairy and gluten-free options beyond the established swimmers and square cheese snacks that have been around for decades, so we make ours without gluten, GMOs, or dairy. Plus, they have an impressive 33 grams of protein per 2.69 oz bag.”
