Australia – The chain Pizza Hut is testing vegan pizzas with dairy-free cheese in two selected locations.
The vegan cheese is produced by “DAIRY-FREE DOWN UNDER” and makes the pizzas completely plant-based. The family-owned company from Australia produces fresh, high-quality vegan cheese alternatives and other plant-based products from high-quality ingredients.
Pizza Hut also announced on its own Facebook page that a range of vegan sauces and pizza bases would be available for vegan customers.
The chain explained that as the vegan pizza is initially offered only for a limited time during the holiday season, there is a surcharge of 10% on the product. In addition, there are currently no plans for a nationwide range of vegan pizzas – they will initially be available only in the Waterloo and Marsden Park locations in New South Wales.
With this vegan pizza option, Pizza Hut joins chains like Domino’s, Bella Italia and Goodfellas which also offer plant-based options.
