Daring Expands in Food Service With New Sous Vide Plant Chicken Format

Plant-based chicken leader Daring introduces new sous vide plant chicken format for food service. The idea is to provide ready-to-eat offerings to its existing and new restaurant partners. Juice Press already serves Daring’s sous vide plant chicken at over 80 of their locations.

Daring developed the sous vide plant chicken in partnership with Cuisine Solutions, the largest premium food company, pioneering and perfecting the sous vide cooking technique. The sous vide plant chicken comes vacuum sealed, allowing for lower labor costs and less preparation time. It guarantees the product’s consistency and saves kitchen space.

David Johnson, VP of food service at Daring, commented: “The sous vide format provides our food service partners with a new option not previously available: Ready-to-Eat. Combining our simple ingredients with Cuisine Solutions’ sous vide technology gives our partners the consistency and quality they are looking for while opening the door to more cold applications as well.”

Continued US expansion

Daring’s products are served in over 500 restaurants across the United States, including Juice Press, Monty’s Good Burger, Bad Bunny, Dave Grutman’s, Gekko Steakhouse, Tao Restaurant Group, and many more.

This October, Starbucks USA introduced new vegan options at some locations, including chicken bites made with Daring’s ready-to-eat plant chicken and JUST Egg.

Director of Plant-Based Innovation at Cuisine Solutions, Nolan Popper, said: “Part of our focus when it comes to delivering innovation in the plant-based space is finding the very best companies in the market to partner with. Pairing Daring’s clean ingredients with cutting-edge manufacturing technology means we can create endless platforms with options for all dayparts. We’re excited by the possibilities our sous-vide process has helped to unlock for vegan and flexitarian customers alike.”
