The team at Raging Pig has developed an innovative production process that, among other things, harnesses side streams from the food industry. With this innovative product, the company aims to meet the growing demand for plant-based alternatives to animal products and offer authentic alternatives to traditional animal bacon.
“We’ve been searching for a long time for a plant-based bacon alternative that deserves the name”
After working with selected local restaurant partners in Hamburg, the company is now taking the next steps in expansion as its vegan bacon rolls out at Vincent Vegan in all restaurants across Germany.
Topi Rohde, co-Founder of Vincent Vegan, says of the new collaboration, “We’ve been searching for a long time for a plant-based bacon alternative that deserves the name while also tasting bold and intense and allowing for a special crunch. Vincent Vegan is excited to partner with Raging Pig to offer the product in all of our stores and create another step for the Guest Experience of plant-based products.”
Dr. Arne Ewerbeck, Co-Founder of The Raging Pig Company, commented, “We are insanely excited about the launch with Vicent Vegan and the opportunity to make our product available to as many people as possible. We’ve been working on the development of our Raging Bacon for a long time and are happy with the great response.
“Our innovative technology will allow us to offer more plant-based alternative products in the future, making an important contribution to a climate- and animal-friendly food system,” adds the Hamburg startup.
Starting this spring, the vegan bacon will be available through various foodservice partners, with the goal of offering Raging Bacon in as many burger joints as possible across Europe.
