Meatable and TruMeat have entered into a strategic collaboration to advance the global commercialization of cultivated meat. The partnership will center on optimizing production processes and developing culture media, as well as constructing a new, high-tech facility in Singapore. This facility will be operated by TruMeat and will utilize Meatable’s technology to produce cultivated meat at scale, with a focus on achieving price competitiveness with conventional meat.
“This is the next step in our journey to make cultivated meat accessible and affordable”
The new facility represents the first in Singapore capable of producing cultivated meat at the volumes and cost levels necessary to support commercial partners in testing and launching products. TruMeat’s expertise in media development and process optimization is expected to play a key role in reaching these goals.
Meatable CEO Jeff Tripician stated, “This is the next step in our journey to make cultivated meat accessible and affordable. We have full trust in TruMeat’s expertise, and together, we are confident in our ability to optimize processes and scale efficiently.” He further explained that the collaboration brings the company closer to providing solutions that could transform the meat industry and offer sustainable alternatives to consumers.

This partnership builds on Meatable’s ongoing efforts to make cultivated meat more affordable and widely available. Last week, Meatable expanded its industry network by partnering with organizations such as Food Tank, The Hunger Project, and The United Nations Global Compact to address environmental and societal challenges within global food production systems.
Scaling up with a shared vision
Meatable’s cultivated meat technology is designed to integrate into existing meat industry supply chains, with the goal of sustainably producing affordable, high-quality meat. Similarly, TruMeat focuses on scaling cultivated meat technology and developing a global supply chain to ensure cost-effective and reliable production at scale.
James Chui, Chairman of TruMeat, noted, “We recognize that Meatable is a clear leader in the cultivated meat space, and we have been waiting for a technology with this potential. By combining our strengths, we can achieve the necessary cost reductions and commercial scale to make cultivated meat a viable option for global markets.”
