A new market research report by Transparency Market Research examines the global market for pea milk over the 2017-2025 forecast period. According to the report, pea milk will become increasingly popular in the coming years as demand for plant-based milk alternatives rises significantly.
According to the Plant Based Foods Association and Nielsen, sales of plant-based foods increased by 20% last year. It’s not just well-established nut-based milks such as almond milk, soy milk or coconut milk which are steadily gaining in popularity, but also other plant-based alternatives such as oat milk, pea milk and hemp milk.
The report identifies the continuing global trend towards veganism (in which consumers completely dispense with animal products) and food allergies as the reasons behind the good market prospects for pea milk.
