NotCo Argentina Launches NotCow Campaign to Promote Cruelty-Free Dairy

Chilean B Corp certified unicorn company NotCo has launched a marketing campaign in Argentina called NotCow, featuring the slogan “Cross out what you don’t want, Keep what you like,” encouraging consumers to switch to cruelty-free, healthier, and more sustainable alternatives.

NotCow aims to promote NotCo’s plant-based products — NotMilk, NotCream Cheese, and NotDulce de Leche — as options for traditional Argentinean favorites such as milk coffee, toast with cream cheese, and dulce de leche (a ubiquitous sweet in the country’s gastronomy).

“The category of dairy replacements is a clear example of how countless recipes and occasions at home can become plant-based without effort and without leaving aside taste and enjoyment,” says Matias Latugaye, Country Manager Argentina of NotCo.

In Argentina, the vegan population amounts to 4%, and the trend of dairy consumers transitioning to plant-based products is gaining momentum, reports Latin Spots. This surge in demand speaks to the growing consumer awareness of non-dairy options, such as NotCo’s.

A leading provider of plant-based products in LATAM,  the Chilean company debuted in Argentina with the launch of NotMilk Original, Low Fat, and chocolate flavored NotMilk.

Last August, the company expanded its presence in the country by introducing NotMilk Sugar-Free in major supermarket chains such as Carrefour, Jumbo, Disco, Walmart, and Coto, as well as in health food stores and online shops.

“At NotCo, the challenge has always been to develop with a high level of precision the products we traditionally consume, but plant-based and more sustainable. We seek to be an engine of innovation capable of bringing the products that have always accompanied us and that with us all Argentines can change our daily lives for ourselves and our planet,” said Latugaye.”

Producing these products requires around 80% less water and generates around 99% less CO2, claims NotCo.
