Fat Pioneer 77 Foods Rebrands as La Vie, as 92% Prefer its Game-Changing Bacon to Conventional 

77 Foods, the creator of plant-based pork fat from France, has rebranded as La Vie after more than three years of R&D. The colorful rebranding and playful imagery of La Vie marks the brand’s entry into the retail market for its patented vegan bacon that has been making waves in the plant-based scene.  Made from sunflower vegetable fat in a patented extraction process, La Vie’s bacon and diced bacon are the first products to be released. Mmm, Bacon: Plant-Based Bacon Outselling Conventional as Market Doubles

Long-held as a taste icon for many diehard animal meat-eaters, now bacon is also experiencing plant-based disruption. Unilever Selects French Plant-Based Pork Fat Specialist 77 Foods as Innovation Champions

Unilever has named French startup 77 Foods, creator plant-based pork fat product, as the winner of its Innovation Challenge. Unilever aims to reach its target of €1 billion annual sales of plant-based meat and dairy alternatives within the next five to seven years. According to 77 Foods, 92% of participants in a blind test preferred 77 FOODS bacon to pork bacon.
